In 1962 Ed Stoudt bought an old restaurant & farm that gradually evolved into his empire. A true family businessman, Ed holds his achievements close to his heart. He hand trims every steak that is served in the restaurant, showcases 99% of the brewery tours & is an avid antiques collector. Father of 5 and grandfather of 4, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, eating sour dough pancakes, & taking care of his fish, birds, & dog.
Carol Stoudt –Queen of Hops
Originally a kindergarten teacher, Carol became the figurehead and face of Stoudt’s Brewing Co. After raising 5 children, Carol & her husband Ed built a brewery in 1987, and soon became pioneers in the craft brewing industry. Carol has spent the last 20 years raising her children & selling beer. She remains active in the business- overseeing sales, attending special beer events, and periodically working the market. Carol enjoys traveling, cooking, & spending time with her 5 children and 4 grandchildren.

Elizabeth Stoudt - Antiques Manager / Baker of Eddie’s bread
Elizabeth is the eldest daughter of Ed and Carol and proud mother of two creative boys. Never a dull moment for Elizabeth as she balances the gentle chaos of managing 400 antique dealers with the tranquility of producing Eddie’s Breads. She is also a lover of farm animals, stinky cheese, herbs, cooking, and the search for something different and new.
Victoria Dahlke - Assistant Antiques & Clock tower Manager
Vicki began her career as an antiques dealer in 1972. She sold jewelry and a variety of eclectic merchandise. In 1997 she took a position at Clock Tower Antiques, and has recently been promoted to manager. “All of the years have been a definite learning experience because I really love what I do.” Adamstown has been a small town hub for antiques for years, drawing people from all over the country.
Banquets & Weddings
Dave Hogg - Banquet Coordinator & Restaurant bar manager
Dave joined the Stoudt‘s team in 1999 after 23 years in the hotel hospitality business. Dave specializes in customized catering from weddings to corporate business dinners. Dave enjoys traveling, Maryland crabs and beer, and riding roller coaster rides at theme parks.
John handles wort production, filtrations, scheduling of production staff, and logistics. John has been in the brewing industry since 1996, with stops at breweries from Portland, ME to Los Angeles, CA. In the spring of 1997, John completed the eight-week Professional Brewers Certification Program at the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago. A father of two, John enjoys family life, snowboarding, fishing, hiking and the Red Sox.
Brett is our vintage brewer at Stoudt’s. Brett started his brewing career at Stoudt’s in 1995 and has been with us ever since. He has formal training in beverage packaging from The Siebel Institute in Chicago. When Brett is not working hard he enjoys playing hard with such activities as kayaking, fishing, bowling, golfing, playing poker, throwing quoits, and drinking good beer.
Joe is the freshest member of Stoudt’s brew team, having joined us in the fall of 2005. A professional brewer for seven years, Joe was the top graduate of the 2003 class of the World Brewing Academy in Chicago and Grafelfing, Germany. Joe likes to brew, cellar, package, handle the brewery's lab work, drink pina coladas, & take walks in the rain.
Matt Kraft – Warehouse Manager/ Shipping and Receiving
A diehard Eagles and Penn State fan, Matt has been with Stoudt’s for five years. Matt graduated from Kutztown University in 1995 with a degree in Sociology. You can find Matt talking sports and politics at the bar or driving his forklift around the brewery. Matt enjoys sports, traveling, history, and reading. Matt is a loyal drinker of the American Pale Ale, and a master dart thrower.
Eddie makes sure that our brews make it to our customers’ thirsty mouths. Eddie grew up around his family’s business and has become passionate for his family’s brew; especially the German-style Pilsener. Eddie Likes to shoot sporting clays, fly-fish, enjoys ice hockey, music, and other outdoor activities. Eddie graduated from Syracuse University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.

Robert C. Sidleck - Executive Chef
Bob is responsible for all aspects of food operations at Stoudt’s. He brings to the table extensive knowledge in classical cooking and technique. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and with nineteen years of industry experience, Bob has played a pivotal role since he joined Stoudt’s in 2000. Bob is an avid collector of antique Empire furniture and a devoted father of two girls.
Gail Stoudt - Restaurant Host & Server Manager
If you happen to be calling in for reservations at Stoudt’s Black Angus, it is likely that you’ll find yourself talking with the classy Gail Stoudt. When she is not at Stoudt’s Gail enjoys traveling, cooking, Bernville politics, and large dogs. Gail has been in the restaurant business since 1979 and has been with Stoudt’s since 1991. Employed at Stoudt’s since 1997, Chris oversees all the office work for the restaurant, brewery, and antique mall. Married with two children, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading.
Dori Brown - Accounts Payable/Receivable, Ed Stoudt Enterprises, Inc.
Dori has been employed at Stoudt’s Brewing Company since 1999. Starting out in the office as the contact for beer invoicing and POS items she has also been assisting in the Stoudt’s Black Angus Antiques Mall division of the company. Dori lives locally with her husband & two daughters. She enjoys being outside, going to the beach, & reading a really good book.
Heather is the smile behind the front desk at Stoudt’s. She assists the office in everyday clerical duties, and handles retail sales. A local family gal, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends and drinking Stoudt’s beer. “Especially the deliciously smooth Oktoberfest, yum.”
Carey Stoudt Matson - Graphic Design/Marketing
Carey is the creative backbone of Stoudts. Carey handles all the graphic design & creative needs for her family’s business. Carey graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Textile design. Carey is a wife, a mom of two young kids, and a textile designer. In her spare time she likes to makes mono- prints, knit, felt, paint and stitch things. Carey loves to be outside working in her garden, snowboarding the pow pow, and dislikes nuts in baked goods.

Laura Stoudt
Laura is currently serving good beers in Seattle, Washington, enjoying the diverse beer scene of the Pacific Northwest. Laura graduated with a BFA from Alfred University, with a concentration in ceramic art. Laura’s interests include playing with clay, cooking, making sushi, drinking hopped up West coast beers, and basking in the sun with her fat cat, George.
Gretel Stoudt
Gretel, the youngest of the Stoudt children graduated from the University of Montana in 2006 with a BA in History. Gretel enjoys printmaking, long summer days, riding her bike around town, skiing, snowboarding, talking film and politics, going out to the movies, watching Jeopardy, Russian literature, and dog watching..
